The only Australian 18-hole championship course on its own island, the Hamilton Island Golf Course is located on Dent Island, in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.
Dent Island is situated alongside Hamilton Island and is very easy to get to.
Dent Island is just a ten minute ferry ride from the Hamilton Island Marina. Ferries from Hamilton Island Marina depart every hour on the hour to Dent Island and return every hour on the half hour. The ferry transfer is included in your green fees and your ferry transfer will be scheduled at the time of your booking.
Take in the incredible beauty of the Whitsundays as you cruise across to Dent Island. You will be greeted at the Golf Club jetty and transferred up to the Clubhouse and Pro Shop to begin your game.
Please note that private boats cannot dock at the Hamilton Island Golf Club.
Hamilton Island Air offers direct flights from Hamilton Island and neighbouring islands, including the mainland, to Hamilton Island Golf Club.
Getting to Hamilton Island

The airport handles direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns, operated by Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Qantas. Where to stay
Most of our golfing visitors choose to stay on Hamilton Island. However, it is possible to visit as a day trip from the mainland, or even sail to the Hamilton Island Marina on your own yacht and then transfer to Dent Island via ferry.
The ferry transfers operate daily from 7.00am until 4.00pm. Your ferry transfer time will be confirmed when you book your tee time.
Your golf green fees include the cost of your ferry transfer to and from Dent Island.
You can also visit Hamilton Island Golf Club as a spectator. Fees are $30 per person, return.
