The Hamilton Island Golf Club is located on Dent Island in Queensland's tropical Whitsundays. A short ferry ride from the Hamilton Island marina, Dent Island is easily accessible from most major cities along the east coast of Australia. Hamilton Island Airport is the main air hub for the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef. The modern airport handles direct flights daily from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Cairns, operated by Jetstar, Virgin Blue and Qantaslink. Private flights and international charters also fly into Hamilton Island Airport, along with locally operated helicopters, light planes and seaplanes.
