Mark Snooks, Resident Golf-Pro

Mark Snooks joined the Hamilton Island Golf Club, the 18-hole championship golf course, as the resident golf-pro in July 2011.

A professional golfer for ten years, Mark has completed a Diploma of Professional Golf with the Australian PGA.

Mark’s passion for golf began at the age of 16 and, as a left-hander, he played on the PGA Tour in 2004-2005 before applying his skills to coaching and mentoring. He has mentored many up and coming elite juniors, including now PGA Professionals Clint Rice (Australasian Tour member, One Asia Tour member and Canadian Tour member) and Kalem Richardson (Australasian tour member and One Asia Tour member). In 2001 and 2002, Mark was nominated for Young Australian of the Year in the Career Achievement category.

Mark’s wealth of knowledge is called upon by prominent golfing magazine, Golf Australia, where he is a regular contributor. A valued member of our team, Mark looks forward to welcoming you to the fabulous Hamilton Island Golf Club.
